Excellent appraisal of where the world sits regarding Gaza (by Bernard Keane). He even sympathises with Albanese and Wong and their equivalents in 20 or so other countries as they try to deal with a world with Trump and Netanyahu calling the shots.

At some point, the diplomats will run out of rhetoric to describe what is unfolding in Gaza, and Western countries will have to work out how to deal with a monster backed by the United States.

I know the role of political interviewers is to probe n hold the govt to account. Sally Sara with Clare O’Neil this morning was over the top. Over and over came questions doubting, mocking, criticising n trashing the govt’s housing actions. It was disgraceful n hypercritical.

So the NSW Cabinet under Minns has come up with a compo figure of $2mill for Kathleen Folbigg after she wrongly served 20 yrs in gaol. Compare that to Lindy Chamberlain’s 1994 $1.7 mill after serving 3 years. It’s a disgrace. Minns seems to be making a run of poor judgements.
