Acknowledging 'what is' is complex. It sounds like giving up but it can allow for some settling inside and then the capacity for change.
“Logos” was understood by the Stoics as “natural law” or as we might say “what is” as Freud might say “the reality principle”.
One of life’s great challenges is how we, flawed human beings who want the world to be different from how it is, accept and incorporate logos into life.
