C-H activation using COFs is known literature but this is a first example of COF photocatalysts for efficient defluorinative C–N coupling, even under sunlight.🌞

Excited to share our work @angew_chem, demonstrating a one-step methylation turning a bipyridine COF into a dicationic, electron-deficient framework that enables C–F bond activation under visible light!☀️ A great collaboration with @DA_catalysisLab. https://t.co/QREX2eprE9

To achieve the high chemical stability for dehydrogenative coupling for the preparation of a series of quinazolinone and benzothiadiazine-1,1-dioxide in high yields, we have post-synthetically modified a labile imine-linked COF to highly stable thiazole-linked COF.
