Although no custom hardware is required, Proximum can and likely will incentivize lower latency devices over time (cf. Bitcoin difficulty adjustment). This can increase location proof accuracy & protocol utility (eg, more auth use cases, better decentralization for security).

How Proximum Works.Like Bitcoin, there's beauty in simplicity & physics. tl;dr: Proximum uses the speed of light & math to verify participant locations. We can then rely on decentralization for crypto security and define consensus as the vote of the majority of spacetime.
