vaccines in development, most not even in phase I. What to do until next year? Face masks, weekly PCR testing (paid by federal/state govs), TETRIS (test, trace, isolate) and physical distancing
@profvrr
That last is going to be tough if we want schools to open up. (I suspect the plastic sneeze barriers on desks will have to be a solution, plus the masks for older kids).

How do you read the x-axis? Am I correct in thinking: top few are currently in stage II, first orange has completed stage I but hasn’t started stage II, and most of them are in stage I ?

As most virus transmission is in the home I am throwing a kitchen sink hypothesis at your question. There has to be something in the cupboard of traditional remedies.
@profvrr
Do traditional drinks ie
#chai
have an antiviral effect on the home? Inhaling essential oils from simmering pots and cups?
Does precipitation on surfaces kill viruses in the kitchen? Is the combination of spices in chai
#antiviral
?
@profvrr
My country's govt have only recently started to recommend face masks at the federal level, they don't believe that either TETRIS or periodic PCR testing works and promote physical distancing without any govt financial support.

@HLGatell
ask experts to convince them.

I dont have the flu shot which turns out to be a positive when you consider you are 36% more likely to get COVID-19 when you have it. I dont believe the answer to a virus on par with flu requires these suspect, rushed vaccines.
@profvrr
Well, you can kiss that entire PCR testing (paid by federal gov) money good bye. The Trump Administration has decided to cease federal funding for testing next month.

Great thoughts but in Wisconsin where I live I am not able to get tested without having symptoms. Insane. I suspect we are not the only state in the US with this limitation.
@profvrr
I am grateful for all the you’ve done with . Been with you all from the beginning. Hard to keep up with all of the podcasts but I am staying the course . What I’ve been given by you and your group’s efforts and guests can never be repaid.
