At what point does the sheer short-sighted stupidity become more widely seen?.
25% tax on Apple products while singling out the CEO by name for retribution, 50% tax on European goods, expulsion of foreign students, bill passed with most debt in history, while hosting a dinner for people who gave you $300+ million. All in the last 24 hours. The Golden Age.

Trump's unpopularity helps another center-left candidate. Ok, friends, how about here at home in the US?

Hate to be cruel but the stupidity of Trump voters is hard to understate. “Ms. Hall said she never thought her own costs would increase, & she hoped that Mr. Trump would quickly bring prices down. ‘I don’t have that faith anymore.’”. via @NYTimes.

President Trump’s trade policies are already starting to frustrate American consumers who have noticed higher prices in their shopping carts.

It's telling that the link from a @GetSpectrum email asking to grade service doesn't work. The equipment is fine, remote tech was good, the office in Pasadena, CA where I had to pick up a router was terrible: understaffed, slow, I have to wait 45 minutes for a 3-minute swap.

Another day, another bit of inanity.
The mainstream media may label it a Trump retreat, but I see it as a strategic advance. President Trump's approach aims for a more cooperative China, fostering fair trade by reducing tariffs and trade barriers. This strategy positions the U.S. for greater economic gains!

#CourageCount2025 This quite moderate letter asking for #constructiveengagement while insisting on university independence has about 300 signatories who are leaders of US colleges and universities. Missing: @USC As they say on SNL's Coffee Talk skit: "please discuss.".

That’s because a tariff is a tax.
The mainstream media hasn’t reported on this @realDonaldTrump proposal: . A bold tax cut on products made in America. Shifting production back home means creating high-paying jobs, boosting local economies, and revitalizing American communities!

Hmm . She doesn’t have a credit card?.
@kaitlancollins @JoshCampbellcnn “Her entire family was in town including her children and grandchildren – she was using the withdrawal to treat her family to dinner, activities, and Easter gifts,” a DHS spokesperson said.

Amateur hour w tariffs, amateur hour w universities, amateur hour w immigration ("we deported him by mistake but now can't bring him back"), amateur hour w operational security (Signalgate, anyone?). Sure glad they've focused hiring on "merit."

“A lot of positions are done by robots,” Zhang said, noting that a food manufacturing factory in northern China that used to hire 200 workers now generates twice the output w/ only five workers supervising robots and machines.” Our robots vs their robots?

An extreme, protracted trade war between the U.S. and China brings profound risks that could plunge millions of people into poverty, economists say.

A new film about Lithium Valley, inspired by our book, Charging Forward, and directed and produced by Jacob Kornbluth. It's a remarkable balanced view of an incredibly complicated (and conflictual) situation. Check it out:
