I hate doing this kind of thing but it’s my birthday, so if you follow me on here and you’ve ever laughed at something I’ve tweeted out, it’d mean a lot to me if you gave $5 or $10 to @preventionpp today. They’re a great org that needs more support. https://t.co/ZrzvPnqdnr

PPP is pleased to receive our first dollars from opioid settlement funds in a grant provided by @PADrugAlcohol. The 2-year grant will cover 4 critical roles within our harm reduction org to help navigate participants into harm reduction, medical, & behavioral health services.
We are expanding community-based harm reduction services with $1.5 million in funding secured in multistate opioid settlements by @GovernorShapiro during his time as Attorney General.

PPP staff are talking about NY's resolutions + disappointment people experience if they have a setback. Nicky, case manager and person in recovery, wants you to know that it's ok to slip up on the road to recovery. "It's not that you fell, it's in how you pick yourself back up."

Rather, progress happens in positive, long-term changes reinforced by community support, evidence-backed treatment, and nonjudgmental care. Setbacks are normal, so if you slip up, try not to sink into shame or despair. 🧵

As we embark into 2025, you might have set resolutions for the new year. It's wonderful to articulate our intentions & work towards goals! But remember, for most people, change doesn't happen all at once. 🧵

We believe in asking people for consent and respecting their privacy and human dignity. We are happy to work with members of the media who believe the same. Thanks @hardlynormal ❤️❤️
Other YouTubers have said in their videos Prevention Point does not allow cameras. They do. You just have to respect people. My fav BTS moment: the outreach team wasn't "happy" about going out with media because, in the past, the media didn't respect their clients. They didn't
