Writing for @timeshighered this week, @FAHACS' Professor Abigail Harrison Moore (@DrabigailHarris) and the @presparty's Lauren Theweneti (@LaurenTheweneti) examine the keys to effectively engaging young people in participatory research https://t.co/ofkZEn6Gm2

Been a great afternoon thinking together about how we will adapt our exhibition first shown earlier this year @LeedsCityMuseum with our discoveries as the @LeedsMuseums Discovery Centre...can't wait to reopen Whose Power?
Our project mentors have been back in the Discovery Centre today preparing for the opening of Whose Power? in a new location… It’s been fab to get up close with all our objects again and really think about how all these amazing items explore power in all its forms!

We’ve had a bit of a quieter night at PP tonight as the city is alive with all the festivities of light night! Look at how beautiful @LeedsCityMuseum is! If you’re in Leeds over the next two evenings enjoy and stay safe!!

Lots of creativity happening in the room tonight! We’re letting the group get on with things but lots of giggles make us excited to see what they’ve produced
Having fun with Sally, our project filmmaker, creating stop-motion animation stories about our Whose Power? experience. How do we animate the fabulous animation that is @presparty?

Wonderful to be back @presparty tonight and to see Tae's thought-provoking exhibition come to life. I particularly liked the way they used photographs taken by their family in Trinidad. And then we got to delight in more curatorial genius @LeedsArtGallery new show. Go see both...

Tae, one of our amazing volunteers, has curated a case in @LeedsCityMuseum’s collectors cabinet gallery. Looking at how Trinidad has been collected in Leeds, this exhibition is a great example of how contemporary collecting can challenge our collections colonial legacies

Lauren loves working with the PP and all of the learning moments that they provide her with. She knows that the group have allowed her to develop as a researcher and she is determined to use her learnings from PP in her wider practice as an academic researcher 4/4

As a long serving member of the PresParty, Lauren has taken on a new role in recent years, supporting our young volunteers through lots of projects, exhibitions and has passed on skills that she has cultivated over the past 10 years 3/
