I think Newcastle put a bid in as quickly as possible for Ekitike, expecting £70 mil to be expected . Would have given them bargaining power over Liverpool and driven the Isak price up . Now Frankfurt have rejected it, they’re in serious trouble . Well played Michael Edwards 🤝.

I think he’ll be a huge hit at United . But. If United can’t afford a 15-20 mil CM or GK without sales . Why they spent 62mil on Cunha is beyond me . Obviously may get proved wrong on this one if the money is actually available.

I sometimes think executives at football clubs underestimate the intelligence of the average fan . You can’t continuously lie to fans and double back on promises . Eventually, you’ll lose the faith . Or maybe they can - but that abuse of power and hope is an even scarier thought.
