This is why its very stupid to stand in front of a car with a driver that might flee. Once the driver starts driving there is little chance that they will put it in neutral and stop. Shooting at the driver reduces the chance to almost 0%.

The best defense that Jonathan Ross can have is that he thought it was self defense. He was mistaking and therefore it is at least manslaughter. At that time, his best self defense was to jump away from the cars trajectory. Not shooting at people.

I'm not entirely agreeing with this, but the overall trend is right. She put herself in harms way as the sole parent of three kids. She also ended up making civil disobedience into a catastrophe.
