(by extremely short, I mean, we flew in Monday night 12am and left Wednesday 5p! 2 days of travel, 1.5 days in the city. Super fortunate to have no delays. Yes, I skated Rockefeller center rink which was so cool for a kid who grew up skating neighborhood rinks in MN/WI :) )

Had an absolutely epic, extremely short, trip to NYC (Manhattan) to do touristy Christmas things and check off one of my wife's bucket list items: see Hamilton on Broadway. I love visiting that city so much cause it is SO different than Montana in every, beautifully chaotic way!

🚨 24 days until WA begins collecting tax on digital ads for WA based businesses🚨 I haven't heard rumblings on the new WA tax in awhile, but it sounds like everything is still cruising forward (to begin 1/1/26) based on this email we just received for a client in WA.

So, heads-up, with the FTC also looking more closely at reviews, it's highly recommended that the manner in which you gather, AND DISPLAY, reviews should be re-evaluated for your brand's safety!

Something to be aware of, is that Google requires you to disclose whether you incentivize reviews (lined up to the individual reviews you incentivised!) and I would expect that failure to do so will eventually wind up as disapprovals or account suspensions.

- this means ad revenue models based on clicks mean less money. VCs and platforms don't like less money - the only path forward I see is a world where LLM ads shift to a CPM model ( my broader thoughts on LI here: https://t.co/QtzPBhnsIk) 3/3

- the big money is in scaling your LLM to be usable by the entire world - the only thing left to actually scale to what VCs and shareholders want is ad dollars - clicks out of LLMs are decreasing 2/3
