AND!! The bulul of the Ifugao people. They are wood-carved rice deities, usually made in pairs. And iirc they still do rituals to this day for good harvest. My former boss is from Ifugao and they have 2 giant bululs in their home. Very beautiful figures
While I said before that I was apprehensive about the mythological aspect of this film, those fears went right outside the window when I saw how gorgeous the animation is (also FILIPINO SAPPHICSβοΈ) That said, hereβs a little 𧡠of the mythical creatures I spied in the trailer:
