Plastic pollution is already an alarming issue, with over 8-10 mil tons entering the #ocean yearly. Yet there is no largescale regulation to combat this crisis. Each type has its own #respiratory risks, but all microplastics contain deadly #chemicals.

NY could save $1.3 billion if they passed the Packaging Reduction Act, requiring companies to cut the amount of #plastic they are producing. The bill requires companies to develop a Plastic #Reduction plan, leading to less #microplastics in our water.
