MOVE THE PIN-BATTLE MODE! Students (1 or 2 on each side) battle each other to move the pin towards the other team’s side and knock it down on the last spot to win. Pin starts on white spot. Used for underhand throwing here but can be utilized with plenty of skills! #PhysEd

Playing “Newcomb” today with my 3rd-5th students!!! Always a classic and fan favorite. I’ll play “Over Under” from @CoachPirillo in the afternoon with K-2 so I can leave the nets up. Check it out here
NUKE ‘EM!! Actually it’s “Newcomb” but my 3rd-5th ss love this activity as part of the throwing & catching unit. 4 courts of 2 v 2 going on at the same time, with a team of 2 waiting to get on at each. Point winner stays on as the champ, challenging team serves. #PhysEd

PARTNER/GROUP BALANCE DAY!!!!. The excitement, laughs, communication and teamwork is always through the roof!!! After going through 8 different partner and group balances together, teams get to create and present their own, and try them all. Easily their favorite day of the unit!

LEANING TOWER !!!!!!. If the ball bounces in the hoop without touching it and your partner catches it, you get a point. 5 points gets your team a bean bag. Who can build the tallest tower? If your tower falls, simply rebuild :). Super engaging and a great time for assessment.

BOUNCE 3 !!!. Just a modification of @OPENPhysEd’s “Toss 3”. Playing this afternoon with my littles!!! #PhysEd.
BOUNCE 3 !!!.A variation of @OPENPhysEd ‘s “Toss 3”. Students attempt 3 bounce passes and catches. The student who receives the 3rd pass stays and dribbles. The other student runs off and finds a new partner who is dribbling and waiting. So simple yet effective! #PhysEd

BEAN BAG BANK ACCOUNT!. Great activity for u-hand striking w/ the littles. Students start on a spot w/ balloon. If you get 5 strikes in a row, catch your ballon, grab a bean bag from the bins on one end of the gym and run it down to one of the piggy banks (hoops) on the other end
