This evening we received multiple calls about a loose cow causing slowdowns along Bernal and Stanley. Our team of officers quickly responded and spotted a brown cow. Despite a cow-llision with a sedan, the cow safely returned home. There were no reported injuries. 🐂

After doing a good deed, a local student unfortunately discovered his bike was stolen. Hearing this, we surprised him with a replacement. 🚲 Sgt. Pittl, his son, & members of the Pleasanton Police Officers Charitable Foundation teamed up to donate a bike and lock.
Upon receiving a report of a "large mountain lion," we immediately went out to search the area and found this fur-ocious feline! 😸 We let him off with a verbal warning about impersonating bigger cats. Don't hesitate to report sightings and to practice safety when out hiking!

Sometimes there's more than meets the eye... During a recent traffic stop, our officers found something other than an expired registration sticker. 🚓 In fact, they recovered a loaded AR-15 rifle and pistol. Both the driver and passenger were arrested and taken straight to jail.

On Thursday, our officers made back-to-back arrests of individuals caught stealing in Pleasanton. In one instance, a man was caught after stealing makeup & medicine. Then, in an unrelated case, a suspect was caught with a stolen scooter & drugs. Both went to Santa Rita Jail.
Hours ago, some quick-thinking citizens called us after noticing a man breaking into cars around

The Pleasanton Police Department, Alameda County Sheriff's Office, and East Bay Regional Park Police are currently searching for a missing male runner in the hills near Moller Ranch in Pleasanton. They will be utilizing fixed wing aircraft and drones in the area.

Last week, our officers spotted a car with a stolen license plate, and when they tried to approach, the driver sped off. The vehicle stopped after hitting a curb, and officers recovered over 15 catalytic converters. The suspect was arrested and taken to Santa Rita Jail.
After six years of service, K-9 Matsjo is retiring from Pleasanton Police Department. During his career, Matsjo demonstrated his unique capabilities at community events, and helped apprehend numerous criminal offenders across the Tri-Valley. Congratulations! 🐾 🎉

Yesterday, we found a stolen vehicle 🚙 with bags of stolen mail 📬 from several cities. When the car stopped at a local Starbucks, our officers didn't hesitate to respond. As Sgt. Chris Niederhaus describes it, "The suspects never got a chance to enjoy their coffee." ☕
