you don’t have to sweep your feelings under the rug just because they seem small in comparison to other people’s problems. anything upsetting you is valid because it’s upsetting you for a reason. we all feel things, and every feeling is justified. your feelings are valid.

please know that recovery is a journey, and although some parts of it may hurt, and feel impossible, it will take you to a much better place. life will feel softer and calmer. please don’t give up. you've made progress, even if it's just the slightest bit, I'm proud of you.

sometimes taking a step back can help put things into a better perspective when you feel as though something you did didn't go as greatly as you planned, you may be overly hard on yourself but please realize that the most important thing is that you tried your best. be proud.

i know it’s hard when you feel unworthy but try not to be apathetic to yourself. take baby steps to getting back on your feet. when you’re having a bad day, make self-care your priority. it's okay to take the time to heal. you deserve love, most importantly from yourself.

accept that not everyone is going to appreciate you. accept that your personality won’t mesh with everyone. accept that you are not defined by someone else’s opinion of you. accept yourself for your strengths and weaknesses. please accept you and not anyone else’s idea of you.

gentle reminder: you're trying and that's amazing. you do not need to be perfect. you do not need to meet some unobtainable standard. you just need to be you. you are enough just as you are.

its okay if you mess up a few times. its okay if it takes you a while to get something right, if you don't understand immediately. things take time, and how long varies from person to person. you're not a failure just because you're learning, trying to figure stuff out.

being alone doesn’t mean you’re lacking in something. you have something worthy to give. there’s nothing wrong with you. sometimes it takes time to find someone that clicks with you, and that’s ok. don’t waste time on people you can’t be yourself around.

every day, try your best to think of yourself as improving yourself into the best version of yourself - remember to care for your needs, to care for your mental, emotional, and physical needs; don’t push yourself too far or run yourself ragged, take breaks and time to yourself

i know it might seem absolutely impossible at times but you will find your place in the world, you will see beauty in things you didn’t notice before, your mindset will change, you will find people that feel like home, and you will achieve great things one day. you will be happy.

gentle reminder that it’s okay to fail; your results do not define your worth, you are loved by people because of who you are, not numbers or grades or expectations. you are trying your best given your circumstances at the moment and that's amazing

understand that not everyone in your life is meant to stay but do not blame yourself for the ones who leave, some people are temporary and that's alright. learn and grow from these experiences, one day you will find the right people so please don't feel discouraged now
