Two days until they put my pap's ashes in the urn. I can't give him a proper Scotch-Irish memorial tradition send-off because I'm in a nursing home and they don't allow alcohol without a doctor's note. Please do me a favor and pray. His name is Thomas Joseph McFadden Sr.

Can't sleep. Listening to the heart monitor across the hall. Had to send in my medical withdrawal form for school today. Feeling really deflated. All I wanted was to get my English degree and write so Daddy could be proud of me for something other than living.
