"the others don't have an algorithm" yeah okay, and smaller artists get more shares there than on here? use hashtags properly like they are supposed to be used again. don't rely on a machine giving you a lucky boost for dopamine once and then craving to optimize your posts.

"oh, but there's nothing on the other sites" then you just didn't look right. Not your artists there? Find new ones, find better ones that don't tolerate their art being put through the AI slop generator.

"oh, but the community I built" yeah? build it again, you already did it once. and you already have fans, take them with you. You and creators share a userbase? Move together at the same time, that motivates users even more to follow you. start movements. you can do that.

platforms have long ago stopped caring about written feedback, the feedback that matters is usage. if people stop using the site, stop scrolling their timelines, that means they get no ad impressions, they only then see that people leave because they are dissatisfied.

hot take incoming: if you keep using Twitter actively albeit the recent, genuinely really awful AI controversies you are tolerating them no "I don't like this" post helps, because if you keep using the site, their numbers are staying the same, which tells them "users are fine"

(...) The volume scroll wheel on my headset, even if never moved nor touched, ALWAYS SENDS INPUTS. Thus Chromium is like "ah yes, computer very active".

So, this issue is a combination of cool Chromium APIs on Windows and my headset doing nice things it shouldn't. The API to detect a device being inactive just checks for the last input made on a computer in a specific timeframe, if it surpasses it, you go idle. Fair game. (...)

Another hint: My headset is also the reason why I'm always explicitly "Online" on Discord, and never Idle.
