We got to be a Holiday Hero for a @KVCkids ! These kids and their families went above and beyond for this little girl! I am blown away by their kindness and generosity! ❤️ If only we could see her face on Christmas morning when she sees all her wishes came true! 🎄

Our 1st grade ended their Long Ago PBL unit by living a day in the life like a pioneer today! No technology, sack lunches, dressing like one, no school supplies (only paper, pencil and chalk!)! It was a great learning experience to see how much times have changed. @olatheschools

What happens to the Elementary teachers who coach middle or high school sports? What sub is going to want to work Elementary hours when they are obligated to be there until 4:10..esp. when neighboring school districts contact is done at 3:10? I am mind blown and angry.

I am just saying…. I will not be starting school at 8:55 and going until 3:55….with a contract to 4:10. Nope. I absolutely will not be participating in that. This proposal is insane to me. Where is the research that says this benefits elementary kids?

Living like we are in the pioneer times! Today we made homemade bread and butter like they did long ago! These kids are really getting the experiences of what it was like to live back in the day! One kid said “They didn’t have Chick-fil-a?!” No buddy, lol. @CanyonCreekOPS

Entry event day in 1st grade! We kicked off our Long Ago PBL unit by having an antique roadshow. Do you know what all of these things are? I’m a ‘94 baby and didn’t! Lucky for us, the kiddos were able to educate us on the item they brought (with the help of their parents!) 📼🗝️📞

Freedom Walk! 🇺🇸 Since it rained Monday on 9/11, we got to spend this beautiful morning honoring those we lost on 9/11/2001. We walked 2,771 steps. The amount of steps going to the top floor of the World Trade Center. A very cool tradition at CY! 💛 @CanyonCreekOPS @olatheschools
