James enjoyed an inspiring visit to the Year 11 hospitality and catering students at Woldgate School and Sixth Form College in Pocklington. He gave a talk and demonstrated how to prepare a smoked haddock risotto, as well as a seasonal venison dish.

East Yorkshire sugar cakes are a signature item on our menu, with the original recipe dating back over 200 years. James has adapted it slightly to suit today's tastes, they currently accompany our ginger burnt cream and mulled autumn fruits dessert. #pipeandglass #onthemenu
