Following the wave, I'm testing out 🦋! I'm @pimterry.fyi. I'd rather see the world join the fediverse tbh, but really any more open platform seems like an improvement, and I suspect at least the bsky API will be far more amenable to cross-posting & integrations than Twitter's.

(it's quite good!). Also I've solved my Fediverse vs Bluesky conflict - turns out you can read & cross post to both in one place with so you don't even have to choose. Adiós Twitter!.

More specifically:. - From April 2025 (v18 EOL), all supported Node versions will support require(esm) with a CLI flag. - From April 2027 (v22 EOL) every supported Node version will support require(esm) by default, and there'll be no need to publish any more CJS/dual packages 🚀.

Node v23 is now out, with require(esm) support enabled by default! (and plenty of other lovely improvements too ofc). Huge day - this means there's a firm path to EOL for all major ESM-incompatible runtimes 🥳.

I avoid ESM in my pkgs due to compat issues, and I'm still going to for a bit longer (Node 18 is not EOL yet, and this is still behind an experimental flag). That said - this is great news, and I'm very very happy to have a clear path now to an ESM world without breakage soon!.
