Alexander Isak now confirmed to have surgery on his ankle/lower leg. Included a fractured fibula. Timeline is uncertain, but reports are stating he’ll be out for a “few months”. More likely in the 2-3 month range I’d say, as opposed to anything more than that. Fractured
Unfortunately, reports are pointing towards a broken leg/ankle for Alexander Isak. A few possibilities are as follows. Possible Recovery Times: Fibula fracture alone: 6-10 weeks w/ surgery Syndesmosis and fibula fracture: 12+ weeks Tibia fracture: 3-5 months + Best possible

According to the Telegraph, Bruno Fernandes will be out for at least a month after suffering a hamstring strain. This likely corresponds to a moderate (grade 2) strain will usually requires 4-6 weeks out. Unfortunate news for United and Fernandes who has been the constant for

🚨 Alexander Isak set for period on sidelines with suspected leg break from challenge in Liverpool win at Spurs. #LFC yet to comment on severity but scans poised to confirm fears of fracture to left side; recovery time typically a few months @TheAthleticFC

Full updated analysis on the post attached. Just had a chance to review the full challenge/injury scenario. https://t.co/hna2fSz3Wa
INJURY UPDATE: Alexander Isak had to come off in Liverpool vs. Spurs with a leg injury. Scissor-tackle type mechanism typically brings concern for a high/medial ankle sprain, potentially due to forced ankle eversion and rotation. Fibula (lower leg bone) also is a common injury

Alexander Isak had to be subbed off with a leg injury in Liverpool’s clash vs. Spurs. Off initial look, it seems to be an ACL injury (+/- meniscus). Initial contact was made with the ankle, but the knee was forced into a valgus position which brings ACL/MCL into question. He

Hey guys! I’ll be catching a flight and bon voyaging to Europe today, from Australia. Woo hoo! ✈️ And yes, that means better time zones for me to analyse injuries and not having to wake up at 2AM. However, I’d like to cherish my trip to the best of my own ability. So I’ll have

Really strange one with Cristhian Mosquera. The mechanism looked pretty innocuous, just pushing off after a single-leg jump with no clear twist or contact. Reports are stating 6–8 weeks out, and on the footage (screenshot here), he seems to be feeling around the syndesmosis

Completely different mechanism of injury that was unseen in the ankle incident - but Trent Alexander-Arnold will be out for 2+ months after suffering a quad strain. By reports, it seems like it’s a rectus femoris strain, which is usually the most common quad strain. Unfortunate
🚨⚠️ Real Madrid confirm Trent Alexander-Arnold has suffered a muscle injury. He’s gonna be out for around two months, reports @AranchaMOBILE. ❗️

Declan Rice had to come off with what looks to be a calf injury. When palpating, he seemed to pinpoint the soleus/peroneals. Soleus strains/tightness are they common as they are the primary calf muscle used for endurance. Most calf issues tend to be minor, and do facilitate a

Just on Cristhian Mosquera, it doesn’t look like a major injury. Looks more muscular, and a discomfort/tightness if anything. Quad/groin region are particularly susceptible in that lengthened position. Hamstring too. Doesn’t really matter exactly which muscle, as it does look

Looks like a classic lateral ankle sprain mechanism for Trent Alexander-Arnold here. Most look worse than they actually are, and usually do facilitate quite a quick recovery. Less than a week or two. If there’s any ligamentous damage (shown through scans), he could miss 3-5

Dani Olmo landed awkwardly on an outstretched left arm after scoring vs Atlético, immediately grabbing at his shoulder and leaving the pitch in discomfort. A fall on an outstretched arm is the classic mechanism we see with a dislocated/subluxed shoulder – the joint is forced

Leandro Trossard had to come off in Arsenal's clash vs. Bayern with a calf issue. Based on the physio's tests, it looks like the affected area was more the soleus than the gastrocnemius muscle. Its role is typically for muscle endurance as opposed to explosive, fast movements.
