The challenge here was to take flowers that were in warm colors, like yellows & oranges, and make a bouquet that would blend with others that had flowers in mainly cool colors, like purples, reds & magentas. The link was adding these hydrangeas with their purple & red undertones!

In this old 1840's #farmhouse is an original staircase with a window at the bottom. I use this window for #flowerphotography. The afternoon light is especially lovely-gentle & soft, the light kisses the purple & white dahlias seemingly waking them up from their afternoon slumber.

As I reflect upon my first 2 years of #flowerfarming, I feel grateful for the opportunity to heal the body as a #pediatrician, as well as the opportunity to bring joy to the soul as a #flowerfarmer! For me, medicine & flower farming are two sides of the same coin. #flowerpower🌸

One internist, 1 anesthesiologist, one occupational medicine physician, 1 family medicine doctor, 1 psychiatrist, one 2nd year medical student & 1 pediatrician met for lunch at a local Ethiopian restaurant to connect, mentor, & sponsor each other. We're all #BlackWomeninMedicine!
