Clear tensions emerging around having high standards without standardization Tensions from years of standardized testing that normalized a system of reporting for those far away from kids. A testament to NZ now supporting teacher professional judgement.

Who would make the schools use those levelled assessments & PATs when the reporting has been formally removed by MOE? Is this something being imposed by principals, school by school, as standardized testing is no longer reported to MOE in favour of teacher professional judgement?
