Fascinating titbit: It's not just the name that is a colonial construct, it's the country (cue the 'yeah, buts').
Political Parties are calling for the renaming of South Africa because "it was a name given by colonisers". It's strange how these political parties are quick to want to rename things instead of building new things. Video Link:
