Ordinary folk don't have money trees in their gardens. We have to earn our money. Our govt (nat, prov, munic) has to recognise that you can not keep putting up rates, electricity, school fees, et al, at above inflation. Where must the money come from?.

There is a great moral in this story - if you aren't happy, DO something about it. Well done @TheKiffness . If you are a member of SAMRO, please give this a listen. It is important.

SAMRO's COO Mpho Mofikoe was suspended for uncovering their dodgy dealings, which I've experienced first hand as a member. Please share this so we can have Mpho reinstated, her investigation can bring the truth to light & @SAMROMusic can be restored to it's former glory.

This is a whole new level of dumb. Cameron did what he had to. Kudos to him. Ps.@brettherron, I imagine a million illegal settlers in the WC are the primary cause of over burdened infrastructure, while two decades of anaemic growth traps people in poverty. Do you agree?.

A sub-national solution to US/SA? (my latest article):. The SA govt has lost control of the narrative in the US, the vacuum is being filled, & senior figures in Washington are now asking whether solutions lie at a sub-national level.

This is an excellent development by the city 👏🏼 (just don't put the rates up to pay for it). I was pushing for the province to do this three years ago (lacked the courage/ambition even though it was a key DA election promise).
