Yup. When people finally start getting treated fairly it makes the people who benefitted from the formers’ artificial state of forced subjugation feel like they’re oppressed, when in TRUTH they’re finally just experiencing a level playing field. White supremacy is killing us all.
Whiteness as a concept was designed because poor whites saw poor blacks and newly freed slaves as the same as them. Whiteness made them feel superior if the rest of their existence was basically the same.

I haven’t been here much lately. But @KevOnStage speaking on whether @WaffleHouse workers deserve a living wage got me in my feels. These people are cooking for you. They work long hours, on their feet, sweating and preparing YOUR FOOD! They deserve the dignity of fair pay.
This Waffle House $25 debate reminds me that people need to feel like they’re better than someone. If you make $25 “making waffles” and I make $25 doing what I thought was better. Am I better?
