We stand in solidarity with @SBWorkersUnited No contract? No coffee.
Starbucks unionized workers say they plan to strike on Nov. 13 — when the coffee chain will hold its annual Red Cup Day promotion — unless the company finalizes a labor contract by that date.

As of today, Starbucks' "Red Cup Day", Starbucks baristas are on strike! Starbucks will learn that red is the color of the workers. PGH DSA calls on our community to respect the picket line and stand with the workers and refuse to drink scab coffee! Solidarity is our strength!

Congrats to Elizabeth Dunn and Daeja Baker for running to bring progressive voices to the Shaler Area School Board and WINNING! 🥳 If you told me last November that a @pghDSA endorsed candidate would be elected to the board I wouldn’t have believed you. Truly, congrats!

“[The DSA] reject an international economic order sustained by things like private profit, discrimination and violence "in defense of the status quo," and instead envision a more equitable and humane social order "based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms.”
npr.org
Democratic socialism doesn't have a one-size-fits-all definition. But its proponents emphasize a stronger role for the government over the economy to benefit the public.
