Some thoughts on the "newness" of Dispensationalism: . 1. The vast majority of key dispensational beliefs pre-date Darby. 2. All evangelical systems as "systems" are new, being post-Reformation. 3. Nobody is mad at Progressive Covenantalism for being about 20 years old.

The above books are excellent resources written by reputable scholars defining dispensationalism. Don't just believe whoever has most followers on X. Also, remember that someone can say they are a dispensationalist and be a loony bin. I can't think of another theology where we.
