Don’t get me wrong, we love spreadsheets. They’re still where most analysis actually takes place. But it’s the wrong place to assemble data into a meaningful format.

It has limits in terms of data size (1,048,576x16,384 for Excel or 40,000x18,278 for GSheets) Joining data (from multiple sources) in spreadsheets is difficult, slow, or unintuitive Calculations requiring large amounts of data can be painstakingly slow in spreadsheets
