With the Sherwood trade the Canucks *currently* hold: 1st overall 26th overall (MIN) 32nd overall 44th overall (SJ) Obviously the rest of the season and lottery will move those around a bit but it’s a really good place to be for a rebuilding team.

That's a really decent return on an expiring contract. I don't know anything about the player, but two 2nd rounders is fair.
