I can’t even express how happy I am about being a little part of this amazing team! I’m sure this is not our final adventure 🌊.
Feeling nostalgic this morning as I think about our last DEEPEND/RESTORE cruise to close out this funding cycle. The memories made last forever and these people become family. For anyone that crusies, you know what I mean. @pedroperess @prawn_princess_ 🦐🦑🦀🐠🐟🐡🦈

A must read! If you are from one of these excluded groups, I’m sure you are not surprised by the results and have thought about this yourself. Acknowledging the situation is the first step.
We are excited to share our new @NatureEcoEvo article! Using data from > 300,000 biological sciences manuscripts and policies for > 500 Ecology & Evolution journals, we found evidence for bias during peer review (a🧵) .(.

Brazilian’s paper has been withdrawn because authors didn’t have $3750 (20k in Brazilian currency - a full professor monthly salary) to pay the fee. Is open access promoting open science or excluding scientists?.
