Hey @JetBlue. I was supposed to travel with wrongfully convicted people to New Orleans on Thursday for the @InnocenceNtwrk and I was just rebooked on a later flight. I will miss this day where I am supposed to be supported newly freed people. This is not ok! @NEInnocence

So grateful for this inspiring community. #woundedbutnotbroken
Wrongful incarceration brought them together. Now they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with each other and in support of everyone still fighting for freedom. This is what community looks like. This is the Exoneree Network.

This whole thread is a must read.
🧵 This week, staggering data was released by @exonerationlist on race & wrongful convictions nationally, incl. "convictions that led to murder exonerations with Black defendants were almost 50% more likely to include misconduct by police officers." https://t.co/FdBLRePA1l (1/7)

Exoneree Ray Champagne died suddenly 30 months after being freed. The state wrongfully imprisoned him for 41 years, then offered him nothing while he was alive. @MassAGO can still compensate his family & make sure other exonerees don't wait any longer.

Ray Champagne was released in 2020 after spending more than 40 years in prison for a murder he did not commit.

Yes he truly was. A shooting star. A supernova.
Ray was the brightest of lights in this cruel world. Raymond Champagne, who served 41 years for wrongful conviction, died 30 months after winning freedom https://t.co/iI9BWBLtqi via @BostonGlobe

Powerful piece that captures so much about the struggles and triumphs of the freed and exonerated people I am so fortunate to know. @CPCSnews
A must-read by @GlobeAndrewRyan, capturing the leadership of @EllisKSean & @RayChampagne8 of the very special Exoneree Network. As more wrongful convictions unravel, exonerees help one another adjust to life beyond bars - The Boston Globe
