Payjoin v2 is like HTTPS, it keeps third parties from snooping. Payjoin v3 is like Tor, it keeps your counterparty from snooping.

Anyone can run an Async Payjoin directory or OHTTP relay. Censorship resistant money can’t have central points of failure.

We just released payjoin-1.0.0-rc.0. We think it’s a stable API. @BullBitcoin_ and @cakewallet pilots showed us a need for stability before more integrations. More integrations must be coming next.

Completely agree. That’s why we built Payjoin Dev Kit to work with any language and the standard Async Payjoin spec.
@payjoindevkit For a privacy tool to succeed, it must be widely used by default and integrated into every wallet.

Payjoin automates consolidations in a privacy preserving way since sender and receiver can both provide many inputs. Third parties can’t know all inputs come from one cluster. And consolidating on receive avoids creating new inputs altogether.

"If you have a whole economic network of payjoin-using entities, and they engage in commerce with each other, at some point everything will be linked to everything else." @ 30:43
Here is the third episode of the Privacy Series. I'm joined again by @not_nothingmuch to discuss Bitcoin privacy, specifically the general behaviors that can either leak private information or protect it. (Bonus Surprise: I think I've got the hang of audio editing now).

It’s rare to give a bitcoin open-source grant; it’s rarer to give one to someone named Space Bear, and it’s even rarer to give them a second. @spacebear21 is leading wallet integrations and creating language bindings that make the @payjoindevkit library usable across platforms.

really incredible to have a new org focused on privacy onchain, really exciting
Commercial attempts to solve Bitcoin’s privacy have faced tremendous barriers. Short-term profit motives have delivered partial and temporary solutions, but transacting privately on Bitcoin remains a challenge... Announcing Payjoin Foundation to address these. Link below:
