The Qatari royal family does not allow journalism in Qatar. But we are supposed to believe that the Qatari royal family’s international TV network (Al Jazeera) is real journalism. It’s not. It’s an influence operation whose Gaza “bureau chief” accepted an award from Hamas.

You look at who writes tweets like this and it is always someone with “professor” or “human rights” in their bio. In this case it is both.
Hamas offered to return all the hostages in early October 2023 in exchange for a commitment for Israel not to invade the territory. And when Israel unilaterally broke the ceasefire in March 2025, it upended the plan to return its captives.
