Watching whole mini series of true crime... I don't get it. People are lapping it up all around. I just don't get it though. Podcasts, TV series, movies... How much true crime can people get

"Link in the bio" is how people point back to their site/blog/product on Instagram. After almost 20 years of social media, really!.. Is this where we've got to with digital signposting users to your business

I've come to full conclusion that the "ask for forgiveness not permission" mantra is the utterly corrosive to team spirit, trust and wellbeing. Forgiveness is never given but suspicions of others become permanent

UK Gov is using AI to scan the mountains of documents and help Civil Servants. Will be interesting to see what efficiency this brings. Good luck to and the team @alfie https://t.co/mt3ZV4wWW7 Watching with expectation... #govdesign #ai

Recently, a colleague asked me to explain how I create diagrams. I prepared a session and realised these insights could benefit others too

"For many people the appeal of these agile methodologies is their reaction to the bureaucracy of the plan-driven methodologies. These new methods attempt a useful compromise between no process and too much process, providing just enough process to gain a reasonable payoff."

The Messages Trap. A complex topic should be more easily resolved via a person-to-person discussion but both parties are too busy. Interminably trapped stuck firing messages via emails and DMs. Complex topic becomes more complex as people keep getting the wrong end of stick.

At least every 4 years of my career I'm have to faced with the argument (usually from tech peeps) "why don't we personalise the experience" with users being required to setup all their configurations and settings in one-stop shop portal. Tried so many times, when will we learn

Nice talk today from @alfie about why are public clocks are stopped. This slide. Funding public goods is should be understood as necessary but isn't.

Today I found out one of my three gov gateway accounts was not the right one to access the gov childcare service. There's still a long way to go isn't there.
