I have a confession to make. I am bored of sharp photos. We currently live in the golden age of photographic technology. It is ridiculous. We have cameras that can see in the dark. We have lenses so sharp they can resolve the pores on a statue from across the street. We have

With over 27 years and well over 3 million kms of driving under my belt, it is like I am suddenly trying to do everything with my non-dominant hand (if I had one, I'm actually ambidextrous, but you get the point).

Day one of truck driving lessons done and dusted. The 18 speed is a little more difficult than I anticipated. 27+ years of muscle memory is proving hard to over come.

I have started development on a new app... something that I wish existed, but haven't been able to find quite the right tool... will be showing some work in progress screen shots soon!

I love seeing my work hung on people's walls! A red-tailed black cockatoo print.

Did you know Australia has squirrels... actually we don't, we have a carnivorous little critter called a Phascogale. They are about the size of a rat. There are two types, the brush tailed and the red tailed, this little one is a brush tail. They feed on insects, spiders, small

Geez. I wish the algorithm would push out the things I actually want people to see as much as it does the real estate post and the following outrage / abuse / condescending advice.

Just an update on this, they may have mis-typed the price, because it is now listed at AUD$2.15M, still a massive jump in price at a little over 4x instead of 5x. Either way, the deposit on it would be more than it sold for less than 10 years ago.

Definitely seeing the progress, should be back in the water tomorrow, then on to the next job.

Another one, sold for $725K in 2021, it has had zero renovations done to it, it was listed at $1.749M, now under offer. Nearly 2.5x in a little over 4 years. Not beach side, in a fairly "rough" and busy street.

A house that sold for AUD$450K in 2017 was just listed for AUD$2.5M in Busselton... but yeah, it is the avocado toast and lattes that are the reason people can't afford to get into the market.

Today's worksite... I scraped all the barnacles off, pressure washed it, sanded it, sanded it again, pressure washed it again, painted it with primer and then painted the lower part with anti-fouling. Tomorrow the polishing starts.

Just a heads up, the 2026 Wall calendars are being printed at the moment, I should have them either by the end of this week or early next week. If you are in Perth or the South West, I'll probably package and deliver them to your postal address myself to get them out quicker.
