To misquote the Sun, the last person to leave Britain after that budget, should switch off the lights. A budget of broken promises and tax increases. Hard working people are being penalised in this Budget to increase welfare spending, that’s it. £26 billion of tax rises.

No point listening to the Chancellor, we already know what’s in the budget…this chaotic budget just got more chaotic. This government is a shambles. 🥀

Despite Labours forced council reorganisation local elections must go ahead. But the government are refusing to commit and won’t support our amendment which would guarantee local elections. 👇

Flying a kite over a potential leadership coup has made its PM weaker and now budget ‘kite flying’ is wreaking havoc on the stability of the economy. This PM and Chancellor are out of their depth and clearly have no plan at all. They are utterly useless. 🥀

Such is the total lack of judgement Keir Starmer has that he ignites his own speculation on his own leadership and potentially causes the economic and political uncertainty he says a leadership election would bring. How utterly useless is this No 10?

The answer to controlled and sustainable immigration is not a digital ID card, it’s processing and deportations. Labour have a history of wanting centralised national ID schemes. I’ll oppose them in Parliament. I’ll never vote for ID cards (digital or not) #DigitalID

There are no words good enough to express the horror of this. The killing of Charlie Kirk is a blow to everything Western civilization stands for: open discourse, robust debate and peaceful dissent. He lived his life by those very principles, no matter the danger it put him in.

Charlie Kirk embodied freedom of speech, liberty and open public discourse. His abiding drive was that debate was necessary and a good thing. Any democratic minded person cannot disagree with that and his passing is a blow to those principles. RIP.

Angela Rayner is finally gone. But it’s only because of Keir Starmer’s weakness that she wasn’t sacked three days ago. Britain deserves better.
