The poem was written by William Ernest Henley from Gloucester, who was a pupil at @TheCryptSchool. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the poem being written. So you could say that today is 'Invictus Day'. 2/3.

During the quiet moments when on Polling Station duty on Thursday (and there were a few!), I managed to have a proper read of @cummingsradio's book 'Glorious Gloucestershire', which I'd only managed to skim read before. I'd highly recommend it!
