Coming back from South Africa the first thing that struck me in the Netherlands is the number of electric cars on the road. Perhaps an 'Amsterdam' bias but I would think 25-30% is now electric. I wonder if it can be noticed already in the air quality data?.

Een eer om te horen dat onze @BlackGEM_Array telescoop wordt getoond en genoemd in de Tweede Kamer door minister Dijkgraaf, naast de @ESO telescopen met heel sterke deelname van @AstronomieNL NOVA.
Kamerlid @LucStultiens vroeg tijdens de begrotingsbehandeling naar de telescoop die ik in Chili mocht openen deze maand. Door in Europees verband samen te werken lopen we als Nederland voorop in de sterrenkunde. Belangrijk voor de wetenschap en voor onze maatschappij.

Apparently I can have 'my' telescope and eat it!!.
With immense sadness we have to report that the BlackGEM telescopes have collapsed, only two days after the inauguration by @RHDijkgraaf, @AstronomieNL, @RUastro, @IvS_KULeuven. but they were tasty!!
