I will continue to remind the courts and Beacon Hill that the state does not end at 128. Here in the second largest city in New England, we deserve a justice system that is equipped to serve our residents, especially our children.

It's an affront to children and families of Central MA. I was grateful for the Governor’s partnership to make Worcester juvenile one of the administrations’s first judicial appointments, and I will be fighting to ensure that the newest vacancy is filled expediently, as well.

It is beyond frustrating that after years of advocacy by myself and others to bring Worcester's juvenile court a sixth judge, the court has transferred one of those judges away from Worcester. (Worcester has the most care & protection cases in the state). .

Years ago voters decriminalized cannabis, but people with past convictions continue to face barriers to education and employment. A blanket pardon will not only eliminate those barriers, but redress a system that disproportionately impacted Black and Latino communities.
