guys you have to stop telling me kris is a gamer they've been my favorite character since chapter one I PROMISE I know they play video games and are good at it. but this is coming from their own mouth you are not going to hear them being cringe about it

(because that's their best friend but also maybe the coolest person ever) and ralsei is being REAL WORRYING in chapter 3, I think they were just genuinely concerned about him. which they've been showing a lot more in 3+4 anyway. it's genuinely so sweet.

and also more overcomplicated than simply having ralsei respond similarly to susie. not saying this means kris likes ralsei more than susie now or anything, even the updated tea values in chapter 4 indicate otherwise, they just don't seem to worry about her a lot.

you can MAYBE make the case that kris didn't want to ask either of them and ralsei just responded to what he assumed was being asked but ralsei still usually has a moment of pause when kris and the player are being contrary (see: BERDLY?) and that seems out of character To me.

my personal fave part of the scene is that if you choose to talk to susie kris waits a moment before saying anything and then says your words exactly which they normally only do when they don't want to be doing something. but ralsei has no delay and responds as normal
This line in particular always stuck out to me. The choice to say "Ralsei or bust" instead of just "Ralsei" makes it read a lot more like it's something Kris would genuinely want to say, in the same vein as the "Bangin' sermon" or "Looks bad chief" choices. It's very sweet.
