We best follow Jesus when we are least consumed with comparing ourselves with others. Do not focus on the situations, circumstances, callings, or crosses of others. Jesus would say, "What is that to you? You follow Me!”.

Worry is what the world must do because they do not have a Heavenly Father to care for them. But you, child of God, have a reason to rest. "In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8.

Worldly pleasures can be more dangerous for the soul than almost any persecution. Persecution tempts us to fear but worldly pleasure assures us there’s nothing to fear.

"Jonathan. rose and went to David. and strengthened his hand in God." (1 Sam. 23:16). David was weak, weary, despairing. Jonathan sought him out to strengthen him in God. Lord, give us friends who pursue us and point us to You…and help us be this kind of friend for others.

Convo w/ my 3 yr old. Tobyn: “Daddy, I want to wear my flower bathing suit”. Me: …looks can’t find… “honey, let’s pray for God to help us”. We find it a few minutes later. Me: “God answered our prayer!”. Tobyn: “He did! How is God so good at everything?!?”. Amen baby girl, amen.
