Which in the long term might have been for the worse for BS. Social networks get worse the bigger they get. I don’t like the cool-kid gate keeping, but this might just preserve BS’s vibe long term. Let Threads be the high school cafeteria, BS can be the anti-establishment.

Honestly? Once the dust settles I think Threads is going to fill the Twitter-shaped hole people were hoping Mastodon would be. Mastodon won’t die, but it’ll be the niche Linux-on-the-desktop social platform, and lose a lot of Twitter refugees in the near term.

Like don't get me wrong, stats can look good. And an estimated ride-time (not line-time) for lifts could actually be useful. But really I think the most useful is looking up where the heck something is, via search (which I have).

Always tricky to separate what people ask for vs what is actually helpful. I've been procrastinating on this pop-up (when you tap on a run on the map) for a long time. "show me stats and graphs!" is the default ask, but I really don't think that's useful in the moment at all.
