it's not about being wrong or stupid btw. they're not misled, they weren't tricked into being evil. when they do realize they've been taken for fools they complain that the harm they cheered for won't actually happen. how am i meant to view people like that as members of society.

i cannot overstate the utter lack of kinship i've come to feel for those who find glee in the suffering and death of innocents. it is, in the strictest sense of the term, unbearable to me that i share a planet and species with them. it's all just too much.
