I've found myself trying to explain the benefit of diversity a lot lately. This is just one example. Each unique perspective can contribute to a better overall picture and solutions.
The differences between male and female brains are why gender diversity is so valuable for a team trying to solve hard problems. A team of men and women will, on average, have a more complete set of cognitive and personality strengths than a team of just men or just women.

I know that the number of women in my field is low but in my mind the numbers keep improving. Today I found out that 25% of my company's total workforce is female. That's not just the engineering staff. It includes HR, Accounting, Corporate Support, Interiors, Architecture..

Thing I learned today: "allision" is a word and not a typo meant to be "collision". What does it mean? A violent striking (such as a collision) with a fixed object. Sometimes English is strangely specific.
