of course theres the 'toya is so sweet he doesnt even know what swears are!' interpretation, which is infantilizing. but in response, people shouldnt pendulum swing to the other spectrum of mischaracterisation and say he swears like the average teenager, bc he doesnt !

to me, recognizing these differences in speech and characteristics ARE important. toya speaks in a very polite japanese, he was raised in a higher social class, and this matters. it might be just a tiny thing, but insisting on toya swearing very rarely isnt infantilization.

i usually scratch my head a bit when i read fan content and they portray toya as swearing in casual settings, because thats just not how he talks. and even when he loses his composure (f.e. concerto) he doesnt outright swear like akito does.

i feel like the 'Toya can't swear' argument is one that always gets misconstrued a bit ... because its less of 'oh no toya cant swear bc hes a sweet baby' and more like 'toya swears very rarely because this is his way of speaking + it would be ooc for him to do so'.

i think prsktwt just has made me abit cautious abt who i follow, especially bc a lot of ppl in the subtwt are very young .. im a bit selective but i also dont wanna be intimidating :'] so like i said, maybe, depends on who send this!
