we're having an @elastic vienna meetup tonight: https://t.co/NyNMmbUB3J slight change of plan since one of our speakers got sick, but we're still doing a cool @_localstack integration and I'll jump in with terraform, a bit of cloud, and a dash of agent 😅

How about querying a petabyte-scale data set on S3 using a single #Elasticsearch node? The upcoming experimental release of searchable snapshots for the frozen tier in #Elasticsearch 7.12 has you covered → https://t.co/HlqLOD0uGH + https://t.co/ISOYjaOFLn

@spinscale I actually should've stressed even more how much Kibana helped me during the experiment. I was using a lot more visualizations than in the article to be able to "see" anomalies and get a feel for where the problems were. Thanks again @p_brc for giving me a push to use it!

for anybody interested in file systems, "A Fast File System for UNIX" is a great introduction: https://t.co/XfjOFVjlQp today's meetup also turned a bit into file system geekery: ever heard of WAFL? how smooth was that APFS upgrade? ReiserFS story?
