Being able to EQ the mid/sides independently is a very powerful skill to learn but don't forget, if you boost EQ's on your sides you will probably want to lower their total volume output to compensate for the EQ additions or you could unbalance the mid / side relationship

If you struggle understanding basic Compressors do NOT overwhelm yourself with a Multiband Compressor. They are incredibly powerful BUT you can easily destroy an entire mix with just a few wrong moves.

Sadly the quality of a LOT of music is really dropping - this is because people are now spending so much time PROMOTING to social media they're forgetting the importance of putting time in to CREATING their music to begin with which is THE most important part.
