Guy who doesn't think landlords are political.
my test for political wackos of all stripes is the Dinner Party Test: if I invited you to a dinner party full of your Hated Non-Political Demographic (queers, evangelicals, Asians, landlords, w/e) could you be a polite, gracious guest who is a pleasure to have over?.

Part of my job is housecleaning. Most clients are on a biweekly schedule, occasionally monthly, and a few are weekly. Regardless of the schedule, I only find it odd when they keep the place clean to the point that I have to search out dirty areas.
iβm interested in what the spectrum is here. like obviously hiring a babysitter sometimes isnβt gauche, but having a live in au pair probably is. is it more acceptable to have a once a week cleaner than a full time maid? what about gardeners? where is the line?.

she's not equating social awkwardness with autism btw. feels obvious.
People need to realize that unless u are severely (like non verbal) autistic, being βsocially awkwardβ is something you can fix with practice. Social skills are like any skills: some people are born w natural ability, most people have to learn thru practice.

My stake in this discourse is that it's more expensive to eat at home than most people think if you're making meals from scratch like this, but generally not more than eating out. I decided to look up the cost of these ingredients and came to about $45, so $60 isn't extreme.
you guys are pouring prego sauce over noodles and frozen meatball and calling that dinner and you're mad at me cuz im frying up italian sausage, cooking down down shallots and garlic, browning tomato paste, deglazing with vodka and adding heavy cream and parm.

Saying something like this is such an obvious tell that you've never done either of these jobs or even know anyone who has.
restaurant workers are exploited pretty much the same amount and to the same extent that DoorDash drivers are, right? how are they justifying eating at restaurants if they're this puritanical about "supporting exploitation of workers by using those services"???.
