Eridge again, with a 3D in the up bay on a Tunbridge Wells train. Trains from Twells used to arrive in the down bay, then shunt across to the up bay to provide cross-platform interchange from/to the south. 📷 me 1980

The APT-E at York NRM. This experimental tilting train was powered by gas turbines and reached a speed of 152.3 mph in 1975 between Swindon and Reading. It’s now at NRM Shildon. You can also play spot the cars. 📷 me 1981
